FIELD WORK is an initiative of Portland State University’s Art and Social Practice MFA program that seeks to create a platform for public scholarship, lectures, exhibitions, workshops as well as additional programming. This space reflects the Portland State University commitment to community engagement. Located in a former downtown storefront space, FIELD WORK allows the creative explorations to develop out of a visible location that can serve as the site for interaction and collaboration with multiple publics. Field Work currently hosts a permanent classroom and library in its project spaces.
